Anisotropy and Physics of the Pacific Lithosphere Experiment (APPLE)

This project aims to study electrical anisotropy in the oceanic crust and mantle in the Northeastern Pacific.  We are currently reanalyzing controlled-source electromagnetic (CSEM) data collected in 2001 and originally analyzed in the 2005 PhD thesis of Scripps graduate student James Behrens.  We are using new inversion tools to reveal the anisotropic structure of the lithosphere.
